Here we help you to get OpenX32 bootet on your X32!

Hey @Robert13
can you share a “screenshot” of your X32 Compact while booting?
I have a X32 Compact and will test the boot right now.
I made a video of my x32 compact booting. I hope it will help this great project.
very interessting!
I have some ideas… maybe on the weekend I can give you a special boot file to try.
Maybe i can open the x32 and check the type of lcd. Do you need anything else? I can make the rs232 port, so i can see some logging.
you could connect a serial port via Midi to get to the linux console.
From there you could read out the sd card, there are some lcd parameters stored.
Or you read out the internal sd-card directly, but this requires a major disassembly.
But be cafefull and don’t destroy your mixer. Its the best you wait until I build the special boot file this weekend.
As we know from the original DCP-Loader, there should be no different LCDs types on the X32 series. Its likely just a minor adjustment in the kernel DTS file.
Probably some clever combination of dd and hexdump might be sufficient. I’ll try to look at it how to best do this…
The interessting part is within the first couple 1000 Bytes, at ~ 0x400
There you can see the model, mac-address, serial, lcd parameters, …..
In the Reference Manual of the i.MX25 CPU I found the registers where the LCD-Parameters are written to in the bootloader stage:
I try to verify that a bit more….
My X32 Compact (lattice FPGA → serial number starts with 24…) has the following LCD-Parameters on the SD-Card at Offset 0x23E:
LCD=E0012003,8100EAC6,2BD00000,17150004,128
Please try our special build with new LCD Parameters:
I have tried the new filem but with no success.

My SN starts with S1400. That has got the old DSPs
Oh, that’s sad
It seems Behringer used other displays, at least in 2014.
So (I guess) we need your LCD-Parameters from SD-Card and the display model.
The DSPs stayed the same until today. The FPGA has changed from Xilinx to Lattice.
I have sent you a DM with my SD-card image
LCD=E0012003,8100EAC6,2BD00000,17150004,128
The same as yours
